Just finished this mock-up for work. The text is just stand-in until we actually do find a cause to donate to. The starting point for this poster was stolen/borrowed from the Rome Prize 2012 poster.
The final deliverable for this is just an email, but... I couldn't help but make it 1:1 (there's scales in there!). The original version is 48" x 72" at 300 dpi; there's a decent amount of white space.
The process to make it was fairly straight forward: scan the objects, run a clipping path/magic wand in Photoshop, edit to your taste, build a hexagonal template, layout the pieces, change colors of some objects, CTRL+C/CTRL+V and rotate.

Funny how those items are so synonymous with architecture but on a daily basis we maybe use two of those!

That is funny Matt. But I guess it would be tough to make a snowflake out of a computer mouse and lots and lots of coffee. -Vija
